John C. Polera is Of Counsel with Stagg Wabnik Law Group. He represents clients in New York and Connecticut in commercial and residential real estate, finance, probate, trusts, and estate planning and administration, tax planning and compliance, mergers, and acquisitions, and business planning. John is also admitted to practice in federal and state courts in New York and Connecticut, including the United States Tax Court. John will also continue his independent practice at the Law Office of John C. Polera, P.C. in Stamford, CT, and White Plains, NY. With a Master of Laws in Taxation in addition to his Juris Doctorate, and admitted to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Connecticut, John offers clients a unique perspective in his approach to his client's issues and offers them a strong foundation for their financial and taxation issues.

John is a graduate of Boston University School of Law with a Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM), graduating in the top 20% of his class; received his Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Miami School of Law; and his undergraduate degree from Tulane University where, in addition to graduating Cum Laude, he also was a Varsity Letterman in Track and Field and the winner of the John S. Oelkers Athletic Award.

John has worked on a number of large corporate transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, refinancing of corporate borrowing facilities of up to $100 million, as well as large real estate development transactions. John also represented Andrew Robustelli, who was a nationally recognized football player having played for the New York Giants and a member of the NFL Football Hall of Fame, and his companies for more than 20 years before his death in 2011.
