Garden City, NY (February 4, 2013) — Debra Wabnik was recently voted onto the Boards of Directors for BiasHELP, Inc. and the Long Island Network of Community Services, Inc. Since 1997, BiasHELP has been providing programs and services dedicated to the prevention of bias crimes, hate-related harassment, bullying, cyber-bullying, and discrimination. "I am honored to be selected to the board of an organization dedicated to such important causes," said Wabnik. "I look forward to using my experience and skills as a litigator and an employment and non-profit lawyer to further the missions of the agency." The Long Island Network of Community Services supports the infrastructure, fundraising, and programming of not-for-profit community- and faith-based organizations like BiasHELP in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Wabnik also provides pro bono services related to adoption and surrogacy issues, and was recently included in the Long Island Business News' "Who's Who in Professional Women."
