THOMAS STAGG NAMED "EMPIRE STATE COUNSEL®" BY THE NEW YORK STATE BAR ASSOCIATION

Garden City, NY (April 30, 2013) —Thomas Stagg has been named "Empire State Counsel" by the New York State Bar Association. The honorific is awarded to attorneys who have provided 50 or more hours of free legal services to low-income individuals during the calendar year 2012.


According to the Bar Association, "pro bono service by qualified lawyers can change the lives of those unable to afford counsel and can help them achieve justice." The Empire State Counsel recognizes attorneys who provided free legal services to individuals or volunteered their legal services to not-for-profit, governmental or public services organizations whose services are designed primarily to address the legal and other basic needs of persons of limited financial means.
